“You allegedly arrived at the Students’ Union Building with a group of individuals and engaged the Union Executives (including the President, General Secretary and the Public Relations Officer) regarding the call for Congress” the letter stated.

According to the letter, the first two individuals listed as accomplices were members of the 12th Assembly, adding that it raised “concerns about a breach of trust and disregard for due process.”

However, the letter further issued a 48-hour ultimatum for these individuals to send in a statement of defence, duly addressed to the disciplinary committee through the secretary of the committee.

The letter ended with a warning that failure to respond could result in “the Committee proceeding with its deliberations, based solely on the available facts and documentation.”

Recall that the Students’ Union had earlier reported this incident to the SRC via a letter which led to the prior suspension of the proposed congress due to the alleged assault on the UI’SU officials and security threats.
