The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially commenced disbursement of funds to students in the University of Ibadan, as announced by the Students’ Union on June 3, 2025.
Several students have confirmed receiving credit alerts, marking the beginning of the rollout.
According to a press release by the Student Union executives, the disbursement of fees has begun, and students have been encouraged to check their wallets for receipt of funds.
The University of Ibadan has also confirmed that it has started crediting the e-wallets of students who applied for the NELFUND student loan.
In a statement signed by the University of Ibadan NELFUND Liaison Officer, the university management announced that students who submitted their loan applications on or before May 15, 2025, have had their e-wallets credited.
Students from across various faculties have received the payment in their e-wallets and have commenced payment and registration on their portal.
