The University of Ibadan College of Medicine has commissioned a new hostel block, courtesy of a US-based Alumnus, Dr. Phillip O. Ozuah.
The block was the first of six blocks being developed, and was named Phillip O. Ozuah Building (Block C).
Dr. Ozuah funded the building, along with the support of the Ibadan College of Medicine Alumni Association Worldwide (ICOMAA-WW), Class of 1985, who are facilitating the development of five additional blocks.
The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by students and staff of the college as well as some distinguished guests.
Among others, Deputy Governors of Oyo and Enugu States, Barr. Bayo Lawal and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa of NIDCOM and Prof. Kayode O. Adebowale, were at the event.
