Sigma Club Releases Sigma Quiz Regional Stage Results

Sigma Club, University of Ibadan has on Saturday , 1st of March, 2025, released the results for the regional stage of the Roseline Etuokwu Sigma Secondary School Quiz Competition.

The release showed the qualifying schools from the six regions in Nigeria, along with their scores.

The release also stated that of all schools from the 37 states in Nigeria (including the FCT), the highest score was 97% while the lowest score was 38%.

The winners from the six regions include;

SOUTH WEST : Ambassador College, Ota, Ogun State – 97%

NORTH EAST : Gombe High School, Gombe, Gombe State – 93%

SOUTH EAST : Deeper Life High School, Aba, Abia State – 93%

NORTH CENTRAL : Federal Government Academy, Suleja, Niger State – 90%

NORTH WEST : Dagama Academy, Gusau, Zamfara State – 86%

SOUTH SOUTH : Deeper Life High School, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State – 85%

This year’s edition of the competition is the second national edition which saw schools from all States in Nigeria participate.

The first stage of this competition started on January 18, 2025 and was held at the Large Lecture Theatre, Faculty of The Social Sciences, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

“The Roseline Etuokwu Sigma Secondary School Quiz Competition is one of the philanthropic activities of the club to bring the club closer to the grassroots.

It is the club’s belief that secondary school students would grow to become University students.

As such, introducing the club to them right from their secondary school days would guide them in manners to act and way of life to live as students of higher institutions.

During this competition, moral and educational knowledge are displayed and students are being trained in manners to become whole human and stand “for all that is pure”.
