As the 2026/2027 academic session approaches, the University of Ibadan has officially released the undergraduate departmental cut-off marks for admission into its various programs.
According to the newly approved figures, competitive courses across the College of Medicine, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Computing, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Faculty of Technology recorded the highest entry thresholds this admission cycle, reflecting high applicant volume and rigorous academic criteria.
Notably, the Faculty of Computing, one of the current youngest facilities, recorded a remarkable surge in its cut-off marks, a proof of the rising demand for technology and artificial intelligence-driven programs in today’s digital economy.
The approved merit cut-off marks for the Faculty of Computing include:
- Software Engineering: 75.375
- Computer Science: 74.125
- Cybersecurity: 55.75
- Data Science: 51.5
- Information & Communication Technology (ICT): 51.0
Also notable are:
- Mechanical Engineering: 70.0
- Electrical Engineering: 71.25
- Dentistry: 72.875
- Nursing: 74.5
- Pharmacy: 70.375
- Law: 71.00
- Medicine and Surgery: 80.0
Pharmacology, which is a newly introduced undergraduate course, has a cut-off mark of 57.875
