He also hammered in his address that “Critical roles of laboratory in training of science and technology students for skill acquisition and future manpower development cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, committing substantial part of national resources for massive provision of state-of-the-art teaching and cutting-edge research laboratories in our universities is the right way to go if we are truly yearning for rapid industrialization, sustainable growth and economic transformation.”

In light of these, he appreciated the Federal Government and the management of TETFund, and enjoined that all hands- Federal Government, Universities’ administration and leadership of other science/technologically based institutions- must be on deck to tackle challenges of half-baked and unemployable graduates; with well-trained and highly skilled professionals, and deployment of resources that will guarantee the accelerated provision of functional state-of-the-art laboratories in our universities, research institutes and other associated institutions.
