UI Students Elect SRC Members

Students of University of Ibadan have elected their preferred candidates from various halls of residence into the Students Representative Council (SRC) in an election that held on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

The Students Union Electoral Commission (SUEC) announced the results in a statement that had the full list of the election results attached to it.

In Abdulsalam Abubakar Hall, the five candidates who were elected are Jeremiah Emmanuel Felix, Salman Umar Adeyemi, Odoemenam Chukwuma, Eze Justice Chinonso, and Ntoka Fumnanya.

The elected candidates in Tafawa Balewa Hall are Ayodele Richards who is the majority leader in the constituency and Gbadamosi June Temitope.

Alexander Brown Hall also has two elected candidates who are Tijani Monsuru Adewale and Samuel Joseph Gboyega.

The seven candidates who were elected from Sultan Bello Hall are Chukwuma Chisom, the constituency’s majority leader, Michael Anayo James, Saad Faadil Olayiwola, Ibeokoye Chigozie, Rahji Abdulkareem, Akilapa Ahmid Oladiti, and Ajibade Abdullahi.

Seven candidates were also elected from Ransome Kuti Hall. They are Eniola Moses who is the majority leader, Lawal Ismail, Ahmed Saheed, John Victor Boniface, Odetunde Peter Fikayo, Abiola Toyyib, and Omotunde Peter.

In Lord Tedder Hall, the elected candidates are Adedayo Adenekan (majority leader), Obameso Onaopemipo, Akinrujomu Kelvin, Afolabi Nicholas, Kehinde Samuel, Ayobamidele Oluwatomiwa, Olagboyega Stephen, Oigiangbe Onoise Wilson, Olalekan Sodeeq, and Razaq Waliyu.

The elected candidates from Nnamdi Azikiwe Hall are Adewale Opeyemi Alabi (majority leader), Adeyemi Richard, Babalola Olaoluwa, Enilolobo Oluwafemi, Adeoye Joseph, Ayobami Oyewole John, Adeleke David, Omotunde Liam, Abraham Gabriel Olamide, Salawu Daniel Abiola, Alimi Yusuf, Adefolahan Abeeb Abidemi, and Adegoke David.

In Kenneth Mellanby Hall, the ten elected candidates are Ogundele Opeyemi Rufus, Olaogun Oladapo Israel, Emmanuel Akalo, Bolarinwa Usman, Azeez Adewale, Salami Mahmud Kayode, Dahunsi Fehintoluwa, Fasanya Mikail Abiola, Jimoh Ahmad Ajao, and Samagbeyi Godfrey.

In Queen Elizabeth II Hall, the candidates that were elected are Oluwole Fopefoluwa (majority leader), Olabiyi Christianah, Imafidon Omomame, Aremu Oluwatosin Eunice, Fatihah A. Abdussalam, Adetola Oluwatobiloba, Adedeji Abisola, Fijabi Dorcas Boluwatife, Ilori Sussana Inioluwa, Olulowo Emmanuella, Sofidiya Moyoninuoluwa, Oladele Precious, Oladejo Precious, Olaniyi Opeyemi Deborah, and Adekola Grace.

In Queen Idia Hall, the elected candidates are Anih Mercy Ugochi (Majority Leader), Salaudeen Kausar, Olalekan Zainab Temileyi, Olatoye Eniola, Amire Ayomide, Sanusi Raheemah Anike, Yetunde Badmus, Salaudeen Mubarakat, Aderinto Mary, Egbone Onani Elizabeth, Akintunde Peace, Obajimi Grace Adenike, Memud Jameelah, Ajayi Temitope Victoria, Odu Faith Eniola, Animashaun Favour, Ijaiya Mayriam, Olagunade Elizabeth, and Tewobola Shalom.

The elected candidates in Obafemi Awolowo Hall are Komolafe Iyanuoluwa (majority leader), Adisa Dorcas Adedoyin, Sarah Dorcas Gbenu, Comfort Olabode, Oke Esther, Mobolaji Favour, Oshikoya Opeyemi Comfort, Basirat Abiona, Adejumo Memunat, Oyindamola Osinubi, Adetunji Divine, Oyekale Adeola, Ayomide Anita Nejo, Ochumba Lillian, Ramon Kausara Juwon, Hamzat Habibat, and Kazeem Oyindamola.

In Independence Hall, the thirteen candidates who were elected are Oluwaseyi Folahan (majority leader), Adebisi Muhammed, Olukitan Samuel, Chiedo Collins, Ikonwi Goddoing, Nwangu Peter Ekene, Sarafadeen Abdulsalam, Oladejo Damilola, Inubile Blessing, Idoko Adoyi, Alagunfon Luqman, Olayiwola Idris Alao, and Ogba Fortune.

It was also noted in the statement that if there are more than one person with the highest votes, the other elected candidates are required to select one of the persons as majority leader.
