The Union of Campus Journalists, on Thursday 23rd October 2014 awarded five notable personalities for their impact in the society. The awardees were, the first lady of Oyo state, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, Jimi Tewe; CEO Inspiro consultant, P.S. Olajide of the National Mirror Newspaper, Prof. C.O.O. Kolawole from the Faculty of Education and Pat Nebo, African’s Best Art Director (AMAA 2012). The chairman of the occasion was Mr. Gbenga Opadotun, chairman NUJ Oyo state chapter. The programme took place at the First Bank auditorium, Faculty of Agric. Present at the occasion was also Prof. Francis Egbokhare from the department of Linguistics. The first lady was absent due to unavoidable circumstances and to the disappointment of the committee members, did not send in a representative. The theme of the programme was ‘BUILDING A STRONG NIGERIA THROUGH YOUTH MOTIVATION’. The programme was anchored by Blood Pressure.
SIGMA, UI HOSTS KING SUNNY ADE
Sigma Club, University of Ibadan held its programme tagged Havana Classic on Friday, 24th October 2014 at Trenchard Hall. In attendance were the executive governor of Oyo state, Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, Prof. Tola Atinmo, an old Sigmite among others. The indefatigable, evergreen legendary, King Sunny Ade was also present with his band to make the night a memorable one. Attendance to the programme was strictly by invitation.
UI RELEASES SECOND BATCH ADMISSION LIST

It was gathered that prospective students who went on jamb website to check for their admission status have seen their notification of admission but no such information has been released on the University’s website.

He also stressed that it has been discovered that 25% of cultist in Nigeria are females most of which do not have intentions of becoming cult members but found themselves in some sort of cult. Idiates were advised to avoid things that can attract cultists to them like indecent dressing, night crawling and beware of free lunch and dinners
