One of the candidates in the ongoing SU election, Adekanbi Ezekiel ( Easy) has expressed dissatisfaction with the accreditation process, citing concerns over the disenfranchisement of his supporters.
Speaking on the election process, Easy acknowledged that the exercise has been largely smooth, with no reports of disruptions. However, he noted that several of his supporters were unable to vote due to issues with accreditation.
“The election process is going smoothly so far. I have not heard of any ruckus, but the only thing I’m not satisfied with is that many of my supporters did not get the accreditation link. Without accreditation, they had no way to vote,” he said.
According to him, the electoral process allows only those accredited but who fail to receive the link by 11 a.m. to vote at the physical polling booth. This, he fears, may have affected his chances.
“I’m not satisfied with that because I think if you are able to prove to them that you didn’t get the link, then from my own side, that is the only problem,” he added.
