Oladipupo Al-Ameen Korede, an aspirant for Sports Secretary of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UI’SU), has promised to erect a dedicated sports billboard near the UI’SU building to publicise sporting activities and training schedules.
Speaking at the UI’SU Press Night on Wednesday, October 28, Al-Ameen said the billboard would help inform students about sporting activities, noting that some students miss opportunities to participate in sports such as judo and taekwondo because they are unaware of training schedules.
He initially acknowledged that placing billboards across multiple locations on campus might not be feasible but proposed installing one at the intersection near the UI’SU building. He later said he had been informed that the billboard could be erected at the locations he had identified.
