Balogun Abdullah Adewale, popularly known as Baaloo, an aspirant for Sports Secretary of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union (UI’SU), has proposed collaborating with the Women in Sports Network to address challenges faced by female athletes, but said he did not know the sporting activities the network currently engages in.
Speaking at the UI’SU Press Night, Baaloo said he would work with the network to identify challenges facing female athletes and find ways to address their needs if elected.
However, when asked about the network’s current activities, he responded, “I don’t know.”
Further inquiry revealed that the network leader he had consulted was a University of Ibadan graduate who had left the university two sessions earlier, raising questions about her familiarity with current campus affairs.
