NAPS PRESS: Can we meet you, sir?
John: Sure. The name is J.O.Y.C.E. (John Orakwue Yaakov Yeshua-Yayin Chinweuba Ezeoma). I am from Anambra and Yehuda. I am the first of four children (when you count backwards).
NAPS PRESS: How has the journey been so far as the president?
John: It has been an experience money cannot buy. It has been good and not so good. It simply is real life leadership course in motion.
NAPS PRESS: Who among your executives has been the most cooperative?
John: It is hard to say because we get to newer levels of cooperation every moment we work together. You know we are a family.
NAPS PRESS: Generally, the second semester is the most fun-filled for most departments, but it hasn’t been so for naps. What do you have to say about that?
John: Well, we are saving the best for the last. You can ask Jesus about that wine thingy he pulled up at the Wedding banquet.
NAPS PRESS: What are your plans to change things?
John: It is not just about me. The executives are collectively working to give Napsites the best week ever.
NAPS PRESS: How are you working towards the “Naps week”?
John: I already addressed this but we have got lots of surprises coming up like the Movie Show, Variety Night, the Financial Literacy Course, so much, we planning, seriously. I would want to use this as a medium to encourage NAPSITES to pay up on their dues.
NAPS PRESS: At the end of your administration, what would be your greatest achievement?
John: Re-inventing the administration focus from the executives to the people. Also, there is this course we are creating, it is going to change philosophy forever. It is the first of its kind, ever.
NAPS PRESS: Some napsites complain that they do not know who the executives are, especially the freshmen. Any comments?
John: Meaning is dynamic. What do you mean by “know?” As we learned here in philosophy, the knowledge of the other person can never be understood. But it is nice to hear. We would organize a Day out with the Executives for our freshers so we can address this issue this semester.
NAPS PRESS: Let us get personal, what are your likes and dislikes?
John: The list is quite enormous but I like Reading, not school books, but Business Books and the BIBLE, Music, Charity, Travelling, Investing. I hate Pride, Gossiping, Arrogance, and dishonesty.
NAPS PRESS: Would you describe yourself as a religious person?
John: NO! What good is religion?
NAPS PRESS: Who is your favourite napsite?
John: Zira.
NAPS PRESS: Why?
John: Zira is so cool to be around, loving, and simply amazing.
NAPS PRESS: Among the staff, who in the department has impacted your life the most?
John: It is hard to say but I have got love for all my lecturers because everything they have taught me has been useful both in Business, Life, and Relationships and in diverse areas of my life. They have given my life more purpose and direction.
NAPS PRESS: What about among the students?
John: Even though some of the students would be forming Iron Monkey and Sub Zero, they are great and have made my stay in this school worth the while, supportive, entertaining, frustrating and crazy. Shout out to all NAPSITES. G
NAPS PRESS: What is the most important lesson you have learnt ever since your stay on campus?
John: Never let anyone force you into making decisions. Be decisive!!!
NAPS PRESS: As the president, it is natural for ladies to flock, so…how do you manage the attention?
John: I got them all on the spotlight. Lol.
NAPS PRESS: Any special someone?
John: Yes.
NAPS PRESS: If not, critically explain with relevant details.
John:
NAPS PRESS: Who is your celebrity crush?
John: Miley Cyrus.
NAPS PRESS: Who is your favourite musician?
John: Simple Plan.
NAPS PRESS: Who is your favourite lecturer?
John: Professor Offor.
NAPS PRESS: What is your favourite course?
John: Philosophy of Mind.
NAPS PRESS: What are your plans for after philososphy?
John: Incorporate Businesses, Get Wealthy, Become an author, help people think differently.
NAPS PRESS: What advice do you have for fellow finalists who will be graduating soon?
John: Get Financial Education, the world’s economy is fast changing. You need to go beyond just being Book Smart.
NAPS PRESS: Do you believe in Godfatherism?
John: No! Godfatherism is dead.
NAPS PRESS: What qualities do you think napsites should look out for when voting for the next president?
John: Do not let someone sweet talk you. Place Reason before emotions. Do not vote based on sentiments or be tribalistic. This is killing this department. We are global citizens in this new world order. There’s only one Quality I suggest – “Moderation in Everything.”
NAPS PRESS: What do you think is the most important thing one learns in school?
John: Philosophy.
NAPS PRESS: What are your final words?
John: Believe in yourself and never let anyone tell you what you can or cannot be in life. Look beyond FAILURE. We all fail but what matters is what we do with it. Think BIG, Fail FORWARD and become SUCCESSFUL.
