Eniola Olatoye, a representative of Queen Idia hall, University of Ibadan, has been elected the new speaker of the Students Representatives Council of the University of Ibadan Students’ Union.
Eniola, a 400 level student of the Faculty of Law, polled 84 votes to defeat her only opponent Muhammed Adeniyi Adebisi of the Great Independence hall who recorded 29 votes.
The election of the new leadership of the SRC was conducted at the Inaugral sitting of 9th Assembly.
The third aspirant for the position, Hon. Umar of the Abubakar Abdulsalam Hall was disqualified because he is allegedly not a “registered member of his Hall.”
