The President of the Faculty of Arts, Mr. Adeyefa Ebenezer Oluwagbenga, has sparked serious ethical concerns following an attempt to compromise the integrity of the 2026 SU Press Night screening.
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Mr. Adeyefa contacted a pressman to solicit intended questions for the presidential candidates, a clear maneuver aimed at establishing unfair ground support.

Fortunately, the pressman resisted the overture, preserving the impartiality of the screening process and exposing a troubling breach of leadership ethics.
This incident is not an isolated event, as Mr. Adeyefa has a growing track record of undermining electoral transparency within the academic community. Earlier this semester, he was found conducting a parallel mock election through an obscure handler known as “Jegz”, raising further questions about his commitment to fair play.
Together, these recurring controversies paint a grim picture of administrative overreach and cast a long shadow over his tenure as faculty president.
