Uites Storm Ransome Kuti Hall For “A Night In Kalakuta”

Members of the University of Ibadan community, on Friday, December 10, stormed the Ransome Kuti Hall to attend a social event tagged “A night in Kalakuta”. 

The event was to showcase a Marvel studios movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” which broke Box Office Record for Highest-Grossing November Debut.

Apart from the movie, “Black Panther”, there were other forms of entertainment on in the hall premises such as table tennis, pool, play station among others.

The Ransome Kuti Hall struggled to contain the enormous crowd that continued to multiply as the night grew. Subsequently, a few minutes to 8PM, the movie was stopped abruptly to begin the second phase of the event – the after party.

The merry-makers then danced and grooved aggressively all through the night to trending Nigerian songs and old classics with the steaming motivation of Laolu the hypeman.

One of the planners of the event, Ajiboye Daniel while commenting on the success of the event stated that “a night in Kalakuta” was the least from the Kuti Hall, promising the UI community that the Hall would come back stronger with more showpieces.

Some of the sponsors of “a night in Kalakuta” included; Glo, Redbull, PotTV, ClayTech Laundromat, amongst others.
