The University of Ibadan Students’ Union has written to the Students Representative Council, University of Ibadan, to request approval of a Congress.
In the letter, dated August 31, the Union stated that the Congress would be held on Saturday, September 13.
They further stated that the Congress would address important issues affecting the student body.
“We believe this Congress is necessary to discuss important matters affecting the student body and to gather collective input on key decisions” the letter stated.
This comes after the SU released a memo calling factional heads of the Union to a Town’s Hall meeting.
As at press time, the SRC is yet to respond to this letter
