The Students’ Union of the University of Ibadan has announced a further extension of the deadline for school fees payment and course registration, pushing the date to May 11, 2026.
According to an official notice released on April 28, 2026, the new deadline follows an earlier extension, which moved the initial April 16 deadline to April 30. The Union described the latest adjustment as a final concession granted in response to prevailing challenges faced by students.
These engagements have resulted in a final extension of the deadline to May 11, 2026,” the statement read.
The Union emphasised that course registration is directly tied to the payment of school fees and must be completed within the new timeframe.
While acknowledging ongoing concerns surrounding NELFUND disbursement and payment-related issues, the Union urged students to take full advantage of the extension and complete all necessary processes promptly.
However, it issued a note of caution, stressing that the extension should not be taken for granted.
“Students should note that this is a concession, not a continuous adjustment. Further extensions may not be guaranteed,” the notice added.
