READ BETWEEN THE LINES

My heart boils with anger,
Each time I see you shudder,
From the stripes of that badger,
And I feel like putting asunder,
With all the strength I can muster,
Your bond with that monster.

He is making you run a race,
Which is actually not your fate?
Now you struggle to meet his pace,
When it’s obvious his name is hate.
Why not open your eyes in haste,
Before it becomes too late.

Your life in jeopardy,
As his hands hold your neck in a grasp,
For you failed to listen to the melody,
That sounded like a dancing wasp,
Which only is not nice to the ear?
But will also move you to tears.

He has tied you down with money,
And you think it will be all rosy,
Though am not trying to be nosy,
But what I hear is not a good story,
That you have become thoughtless,
And your situation is now helpless.

I know you want this to work,
But it’s obvious he doesn’t know your worth,
As he treats you like a ship,
Whose captain was claimed by the deep,
Why not read between the lines,
And see you deserve better times,
Where your happiness will flows like a river,
And you will feel it down your liver.

Though am not trying to be clever,
But I know what it takes to be human, even though my chances are so slender,
I will love you like a true Roman,
Who will defend you in times of war,
Even when I face death in the raw,
And will hold a lion by the jaw,
If that will make your spirit soar.

Why not open your eyes my love,
And see what I have in store,
For you I call my treasure,
And there will be times of leisure,
When we will be caught up in rapturous pleasure.
