AFAS DEANS CUP: PLATO ACADEMY STARTS TITLE DEFENCE ON WINNING NOTE

Plato Academy had a bright start in the AFAS Dean’s Cup title defence bid as they handed a 2-0 defeat to their HISTORY counterparts on Monday 26th October 2015. The defending champion, who are hoping to win the Deans Cup for the third consecutive time, had it initially rough against the Historians at the first half of the opening Group A match which started at exactly 8:48 am. The game failed to produce any goal for both sides in the first half. Plato’s Academy significantly improved in the second half with the introduction of the assistant captain, Matthias Pinheiro. Not long after, Ayinde Adekunle (kush) from 100 level opened the score line nodding a perfectly weighted corner kick from Matthias. PLATO'SGodwin Akan doubled the score line later on in the match. Plato’s Academy next match is against CLA on Thursday 29th October 2015.
