UITES TO COLLECT GREATEST SPEECHES IN AN ANTHOLOGY

Some students of the University of Ibadan under the auspices of the Literary and Debating Society of the University have embarked on a project to collect great speeches of UItes.

The project is aimed at collecting “some of the most beautiful and classy speeches” already presented by UItes” as the compilers have recognised the globally competitive talents of the students of the University of Ibadan in public speaking.

The project which is an initial brainchild of Kunle Adebajo and Amolegbe AbdulMojeed is to be effectuated through the collective efforts to collate, compile, edit and publish select speeches in a book.

The different parties involved in the project are the Literary and Debating Society which serves as the mother body, ColeSad Consulting which trains public speakers and saddled with the responsibility of verifying the authenticity of the speeches submitted, Facts Count – to host the book online and  Mr ‘Kunle Adebajo, the initiator of the programme.

Interested students should send their speeches to the e-mail, premierspeeches@gmail.com and the submission should contain soft copies of previously presented speeches, name of the speaker, context of the delivery, prizes won by the speech (if any), contact of the speaker and the brief profile of the speaker which is optional.

The deadline for the submission is 1st September, 2016 and the parties involved solicit the support and cooperation of all students of the University to make the project a reality. The organisers implore both alumni and present students of the premier University to make submission for the anthology.
