CLA Team intensifies efforts for Dean’s cup
The department of Communications and Language Arts’ football team last week intensified their efforts in order to ensure that they rise to the top at the end of the Dean’s cup.
Although reports have not been not confirmed, the competition has been said to have been postponed till either the end of November or the first week of December.
Thanks to the Captain’s and Sports Director’s efforts, the team was able to get a coach to train them. Coincidentally, this same coach took the then team to the finals of the competition and to victory ultimately two years ago.
From an interview conducted with one of the players, the move was seen as a welcome development and a more encouraging incentive to participate in the training sessions.
According to him, the coach was as tough as nails but the team needed a little toughness to get them in shape.
The Captain of the team, Ephraim, also tried to encourage the team to try to show up for the trainings as the victory that would possibly come was not just for them but also for the department. He also asked that those who had friends who did not show up at all for training be invited as everyone was needed.
