I gained something today. It’s what I’ve been searching for,for a long time-a very long time.
I’ve always liked to imagine in my head that I’m not the only young person who wants to experience love-the novels and American movies kind of love that makes you cry-in real life.It’s one thing that makes me want to wrap up my education.It is one of the important things in my future-finding love.
It baffles me though,that all the old and married people around me don’t exhibit my imaginations.Is it just something that is fictitious,something that is an illusion,or does it fade away after 15 years of marriage?
Anyway,to clear my head of intense thoughts for a while,I finally bumped into a list of rules{I’d rather say God shoved those rules into my eyes}.
I finally realized that it’s more than all of that,more than being attracted to the persons personality.It actually goes further than just those things and is a bit different from my weird imaginations.It’s Deeper.
Here they are….the LOVE rules:
RULE #1
Love is not a gooey feeling
*It’s not like mush.Love is not that feeling you get when you meet someone and you become attracted to that person.
RULE #2
The trouble with love in the real world is that there’s no background music.
*It’s so unlike my fav. movies-Titanic,A Cinderella story(the Hilary Duff version)….etcetera.
RULE #3
We want what we don’t or can’t have in love.
*We get over-expectant,wanting love poems,a turning-heads girl…forgetting the true essence.
RULE #4
Love controls your mind,making you conscious of the welfare of the other.
*It’s a lot like Jack and Rose in the titanic{but without the background music}:
RULE #5
Love is listeninG. Really listening.
*It’s knowing that you won’t ever have to repeat any information about yourself to him,knowing his favorite striker in the super eagles team.
RULE #6
Anybody who claims to have fallen in love with somebody they don’t know is a stupid head.
*It makes love at first-sight really fake.P.S: I culled the word ‘stupid head’ from a favourite novel.
RULE #7
Loving someone should make you like yourself more when you are with them.
*You’d never have to be self-conscious when you are around them.
RULE #8 => BONUS RULE
Love is sincerely loving the things the one you love loves,not because they do,but because you found a real reason to.
I ask myself,though,that above all things ‘lovey’,why do I want love?
Well,it’s funny to realize that I’ve got no answer to that.I just do.
