The University of Ibadan has formalised a new international collaboration with E campus Inc. DBA Astria Learning through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focused on expanding access to continuing education, academic programmes, and cross-border innovation.
The agreement positions both institutions to work together on digital learning initiatives and broaden opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses. It also signals a strategic push by the university to strengthen its global academic footprint.
At the signing ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, fspsp, described the development as part of UI’s deliberate strategy of engaging carefully selected global partners that align with its academic vision and quality standards.
He noted that the collaboration had passed through internal academic and administrative approvals, including Senate consideration, and expressed confidence that it would evolve into a long-term relationship delivering value to both sides.
From Astria Learning, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jeff Bordes said the partnership reflects months of engagement that began in 2025, describing the agreement as a foundation for sustained institutional cooperation.
He explained that the organisation intends to build a mutually beneficial framework that supports educational development and global academic exchange.
The signing event also featured participation from Astria Learning executives, including Kseniia Tkachenko, Ana Eristavi, and Tolu Omorogbe, while additional team members joined virtually from different countries.
The partnership is expected to open further avenues for collaboration in education delivery, research engagement, and international programme development.
