Ayobami scored in stoppage time to seal victory for civil engineering against Archaeology and Anthropology in their group G encounter played on Tuesday July 30th.
The first half went underway with both teams approaching the game cautiously. Civil engineering soon took control of the game with Ayobami stinging the hands of the goalkeeper with a well taken shot.
A fine counter attack from civil engineering ended with Scott P failing to trouble the keeper from Ayobami’s layoff.
In the second half, civil engineering continued from where they left off in the first half by piling more pressure on the opposition goal but lacked the cutting edge to punish Archeology and Anthropology.
Deep into the second half, civil engineering star man Heskeyman rattled the cross bar with a beautiful free kick while Uvih joined the attack from centre back by firing a wayward shot at goal.
Archeology and Anthropology had their first shot of the second half and second of the game when an attacker shot high and wide.
The breakthrough finally came in stoppage time when Heskeyman set Ayobami through on goal. The civil engineering striker riffled home a well weighted shot to claim all three points for his team.
