UI Begins Undergraduate Medical Screening Exercise for 2024/25 Session

The University Health Service (UHS), has issued a memo on the medical registration exercise for the newly admitted students.

In the memo, it was stated that the medical registration will be held at UHS and would begin on the 22nd of April, 2024.

It also notified returning students who are yet to complete their medical registration to take the opportunity and get registered.

The instructions for the registration process includes, printing out the medical form, filling the Part I and the Psychometric part of the form, visiting either a government owned medical facility or a school-designated x-ray centre for a chest X-ray, and urinalysis amongst others.

Students are expected to pay a fee of ₦1,000 or ₦3,000 to the UI Microfinance bank depending on the facility they choose.

Afterwards, they are to proceed to the University Health Center for their registration, with the teller, school receipt, a passport photography and medical form.

Attached to the memo was also a list of faculties, and their designated x-ray centers.

The Faculties of Arts, and Renewable Energy and Natural Resources are expected to have their X-rays done at Komis, while the Faculties of Social Science, Economics and Management science , Science, and Law are to do theirs at Labmaster.

The faculties of Technology, Agriculture, and Environmental and Management Design are to have theirs at Total Health while the Faculties of Basic Medical Science, Clinical Science, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Public health , Veterinary Medicine, and Education are to do theirs at Ultradad.

Students were also strongly warned to start the registration process on time as failure to complete the registration within the stipulated time would attract fines.
