On Saturday, 19th of September 2026, the Editor-in-Chief of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan (UCJ’UI), Mr Emmanuel Utibe, during the UCJ Induction/Global Campus Journalism Summit, announced that the full launch of CAMPULSE Magazine would take place at the Union’s forthcoming dinner.
During a limited unveiling of the magazine at the summit, Utibe explained that the planned launch had been shifted following a number of last-minute calls and developments that necessitated adjustments to the original schedule.
He further disclosed that, due to financial constraints and the cost of printing, some entries had initially been removed from the magazine at the last minute. However, following the new developments, the Union decided to produce and launch a fuller, expanded edition at the dinner.
The limited unveiling offered a preview of the magazine, which features an interview with Mr Bayo Ajala, the inaugural UCJ President, centred, on the publication’s theme, “Thinking Minds: Advancing Social Progress in a Society of Failing Leadership and Followership.”
It also contains a collection of critical and creative pieces contributed by writers from the University of Ibadan and four other institutions.
With the expanded edition now scheduled for the dinner, readers and members of the university community are expected to look forward to the full launch, with the date of the UCJ dinner to be announced by the Union.
