NEWS: UI Inducts New Set of 147 Medical and Dental Students

The College of Medicine, University of Ibadan inducted 147 new sets of Dental and Medical Students on Saturday, July 13th.

This induction ceremony, which was held at the Paul Hendrickse Lectures Theatre, University College Ibadan (UCH), Ibadan, saw 122 MB; BS, and 25 BDS Students take the medical oath and are now licensed to practice by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

While speaking, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, admonished the new inductees to be good ambassadors of the Ibadan Medical School, emphasizing to them to go forth and shine whilst serving as hope for humanity.

Present at the event were the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebamiji; Provost, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Prof. Olayinka Omigbodun; Registrar, Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN); Prof. Abiona, Dean, Students Affairs; Prof. T.O. Ogundiran, Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences; Dr. Abbey Adedapo, Acting Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association, Oyo State Chapter; members of staff and students, and parents/guardians of the inductees.
