JCI UI INDUCTS 164 NEW MEMBERS

Junior Chamber International, University of Ibadan inducted a total number of 164 new students on Sunday, August 25th 2019 at the Faculty of the Social Sciences, Large Lecture Theatre.

It should be recalled that UCJ UI reported on August 10th, 2019 that JCI UI conducted a rigorous screening exercise which comprised of a paper examination and an oral interview that attracted 190 students out of whom 170 passed.

The 2019 induction ceremony organized by the JCI was sequel to the screening exercise. Emerging as the best inductee (male category) was Ogbewe God’s will, a 400 level student of the faculty of Law while the best inductee (female category) was Nduka-Uba Ijeoma, a 300 level student of the department of Geography.

There was also a speech contest organized as part of the induction ceremony which was won by Akinsola Oluwademilade, a 200 level law student.

Speaking on the theme of the induction ceremony, Harnessing the Power of Technology for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the guest speaker was Mr. Dire Johnson.
