ABH Vs Tedder, Bello Vs Kuti… — Interesting Ties As Jaw War Returns Today

Jawwar, one of the biggest collegiate public speaking competitions in sub-Saharan Africa, returns today.

The first leg of the hall preliminary rounds of the competition famed for its intellectual battle of wits and exchange of ideas will feature five ties.

Reigning champion, Ransome Kuti Hall will face neighbours, Sultan Bello Hall in a rematch of last year’s final won by the former while Kenneth Mellanby Hall will face Queen Idia Hall.

In the third tie, Queen Elizabeth II Hall will face perennial opponent, Nnamdi Azikwe Hall hoping to get a win against the Zikites for the first time in several years while four-time winners, Lord Tedder Hall will face Alexander Brown in one of the most anticipated ties of the first round.

In the final debate of the day, Obafemi Awolowo Hall will face Independence Hall in a tie that has generated much attention over the past few days.
