The Students’ Union President, Mr. Aliyu Olateju Oladimeji aka Ah! Speaker has affirmed that despite the uproar and clamour in different quarters of the university community of being a failure in the recent struggle of #freemote, he believed that he has not failed.
The President made this statement at the meeting of the Stakeholders of the Union that held on Saturday, 11th June, 2016 at the SRC Chamber.
He added that the school management has failed in different aspect to accede to some certain demands which seek to better the lot of the students and improve their welfare condition.
On the issue of power and water scarcity in the Halls of Residence, Ahh Speaker said the leadership of the Union would be meeting with the University management on Thursday, 16th June 2016 to know the extent of the progress the University has 
made in that regard in order to ensure that students are comfortable upon resumption.
Other issues discussed at the forum were to develop strategies with Students’ leaders and have a way out on what should be the next step in the struggle.
