The Executive Council of Nnamdi Azikwe Hall, University of Ibadan, has written the Hall Warden of the hall to revolt the resolution of the Committee of Hall Wardens.
The revolt, put in a letter dated 22nd April, 2016 and addressed to the Hall Warden, was informed by the resolution of the Committee of Hall Wardens which resolved that an Assistant Hall Warden should be a signatory to the executive accounts of each hall of residence.
The Mr Olurombi’s led executive council of the hall had earlier called a Congress of residents of the hall on 6th April, 2016 where the consenting agreement of all was an emphatic NO to the proposition of the Committee of Hall Wardens.
It must be noted that the Nnamdi Azikwe Hall Management Committee, a committee which comprises the executive members of the hall as well as the Hall Master, Hall Warden and the the Assistant Hall Wardens in a meeting on 1st April, 2016 did not reach a common ground as regard the proposition.
The leadership of Nnamdi Azikwe Hall are the first to make a definite move against the proposition as chairpersons of other halls are yet to take any step to voice out their grievances.
