Human Kinetics have booked their place in the quarterfinals as they edged Psychology 2–1 in a fiery Round of 16 battle at the Seals Cup.

The match began with explosive energy, with both teams trying to break the deadlock. But it wasn’t until the 35th minute of play that Bade rose high from a corner to nod Human Kinetics into the lead. Their dominance continued with relentless pressing and a string of set-pieces, but Psychology weren’t going down without a fight.

Moments into the second half, Psychology struck back courtesy of a 47th minute equalizer. But just as the game seemed to hang in the balance, Human Kinetics’ Roxy made a run up the field before blasting the ball past the Psychology keeper, restoring Kinetics’ advantage in the 66th minute.

The final minutes of the encounter saw Psychology pushing for another equalizer and Human Kinetics digging deep to defend their narrow lead, tempers flared and yellow cards flew—including one to the Kinetics goalkeeper in stoppage time for handling the ball outside the box.

Despite four minutes of added time, Human Kinetics held on to the narrow lead as they clinched a 2-1 win over Psychology on Wednesday evening. Political Science had earlier booked a place in the quarterfinals after beating Physiotherapy 4-1 with Stanley, Korede and Olami were all on the score sheet.
