A student of Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education (English Unit), Faculty of Education of the University of Ibadan, Israel Bolarinwa has emerged winner of the Young Orators’ Competition.
The Young Orators’ Competition is a national competition organized for young adults in order to celebrate their public speaking prowess and wit.
Congratulating him for emerging winner, TLDS stated that “his eloquence, intellectual depth and poise are a testament to the culture and excellence and the distinction that the TLDS’UI upholds.”
The society also stated that his win also served as a milestone and “a moment of collective pride for the University of Ibadan Community” as the former winner of the competition, Folakemi Adebayo is also a member of the society.
His win did not just earn him a spot on the global stage to represent Nigeria in a similar oratory competition in London, United Kingdom, but also an all expense paid tour of the United States, courtesy of the P. Philp Foundation.
