Honourable Members of the Awo Hall Constituency have written a petition to the Management of the University of Ibadan, demanding that they comply with the court order as obtained by Miss Nice Linus, a Representative of their Constituency.
The letter dated 29th March 2025, also decried the non compliance of the Speaker of the Council, Rt. Hon. Shoge Quadri, to the court order.
“Furthermore, regardless of the fact that the court order has been sent to the council leadership, we find that the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Shoge Quadri has vehemently refused to acknowledge the court’s injunction, failing to reinstate Hon. Nice Linus or add her to the official 12th Assembly group.” the letter stated.
The letter also stated that despite the clear directive from the court, no official memorandum has been issued to that effect.
They finally urged the management to “uphold the rule of law by ensuring immediate compliance with the court order and reinstating Hon. Nice Linus without further delay.”
The University management had not released a reply as at the time this article was written.
