Psychology has today, Monday August 12th, defeated Physiology 2-1 to book a place in the Seals Cup last 16
Psychology opened the scoring very early in the game when Alvarez’s strike from outside the area cannoned off the post and hit the back of Physiology’s net.
The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences outfit grew into the game since the early concession but were unable to breach a solid Emeka-Titus partnership.
However, in the second half, Physiology got the equaliser. Physiology worked the ball straight from kick off before a winger played in a dangerous cut back from the right for a tap in.
Late in the second half, Psychology took the lead again via a beautiful volley from close range. At the end of 60 minutes, the men from The Social Sciences ran out 2-1 winners and advanced one step further from the 2023 edition where they crashed out in the round of 16.
