
The University of Ibadan’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine commemorated its 60th anniversary with the 53rd oath-taking and induction ceremony for the graduating class of 2022/2023.
Addressing the inductees, the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Olofunke Ola-Davies, urged them to uphold the values of the faculty and be exemplary ambassadors in their future careers.
The induction lecture was delivered by Dr. Adebanji Adeniyi, who emphasized the significance of professionalism and ethical conduct in veterinary practice.
Among the graduates, several students achieved distinctions: Abiodun-Ojo Oluwasegun Iyanuoluwa, Bello Olaoluwa Isaac, Gbore Damilola John, Hamzat Abdulafeez Ademola, Onipede Oluwatofunmi Endurance, Opera Alexio Nnaeemeka, Oremade Tolulope Opeyemi, Oyatoye Aishat Motunrayo, Taiwo Deborah Oluwadamilola, and Jakub Khairat Motunrayo.
The ceremony also featured prominent attendees, including Prof. Peter Olapegba, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration; Dr. Oladotun E. Fadipe, Acting Registrar of the Veterinary Council of Nigeria; Dr. Suragi Ajiboye, representing Sen. Rashidi Adeolu Ladoja; Dame Olufumilayo A. Agbato, who served as Mother of the Day, and various heads of departments were also present.
