UI Hotels — The Global Shapers Community, Ibadan Hub, hosted its ‘Meet the Leaders Series’ aiming to equip young leaders with essential skills for effective leadership at the UI Hotels on Saturday, 29th, 2024.
The Global Shapers Community is a voluntary organization under the World Economic Forum that focuses on solving local problems, with 17 hubs in Nigeria and 512 active hubs worldwide.
Titilayo Gbadamosi, the Senior Assistant to the President on Youth Initiatives, while delivering her keynote address, emphasized the need for young people to get into leadership positions through thorough training, as opposed to being unprepared, further highlighting accountability and sound education as fundamental qualities of a good leader.
The Founder of Valencia College and Co-founder of Mint Avenue, Goodness Morakinyo, shared his personal journey, attributing his seriousness about life to the challenges he faced. He emphasized impacting others as one of the ways to enhance one’s knowledge and passion as the driving force behind a good leader’s vision.
