In a bid to further sustain the legacy and heritage of the oldest and longest surviving students’ organisation in Sub-Saharan Africa, Sigma Club, University of Ibadan held her annual admission interview on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Department of Crop Protection and Environmental Biology Seminar Room, University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
In attendance were members of the socio-philanthropic organisation – Loyal Sigmites, Old Chief and Old Sigmites; who scrupulously and effortlessly left no stone unturned to critically scrutinize and examine the applicants seeking membership of the club.
According to the club’s Publicity Committee Chairman,Loyalist Alawiye Israel Toluwanimi , the club received a massive pool of applications this year and ensured that only those who fit the archetype the club needs were picked.
The Sigma Chief, Eluwa Lucky also revealed that out of the over two hundred applicants (200) shortlisted, only fifty-four (54) gentlemen were admitted into the revered Sigma Roll of Honour.
While he showed gratitude for the successful exercise, he also expressed great deal of optimism about the newly admitted gentlemen. In his words, “the club is as usual, once again, set on its mission to transform mere men into extraordinary whole men.”
