The new Students’ Union President of the University of Ibadan, Adewole Adeyinka (Mascot), has pledged to fulfill his campaign promises to the students.
He made the pledge at the inauguration ceremony which was held at Trenchard Hall, on Saturday, November 13, 2021.
According to him, “We approached the polls to make history on October 9, 2021. We had a belief and we made the necessary sacrifices to make that come true. When you entrusted me with your votes, your expectations from me or the Union must have been High.
“I, Adewole Adeyinka Adekeshinro (Mascot) solemnly declare that I shall uphold the promises I made. Together, we shall ensure we deliver on all the fronts of our promises,” he pledged.
He also promised to work with members of his cabinet, as well as the University Management in “uplifting the welfare of students and promoting the good name of our Prestigious University.”
Mascot implored the management to ensure that policies and decisions are made alongside Students Representatives in line with extant laws.
