A total of 5 campus journalists has been shortlisted for the Sunday Oguntola Essay Competition. Aduluju Temiloluwa, AbdulHabeeb Akorede, Odo Christain Obinna, Alade Khadijat, Ebube Exeadum emerged in the shortlist out of 15 entrants.
Campus journalists were asked to turn in an essay between 1000 and 1500 words on “Post COVID and the Nigerian Student.”
The winners would be announced on Saturday, September 18th at Trenchard Hall during the Induction/Famous Five Awards organised by UCJ UI. The shortlisted entrants should be present during the ceremony.
The first prize winner goes home with N30,000, while both the first runner-up and the second runner-up will go home with N20,000 and N10,000 respectively.
The competition is in honour of Mr. Sunday Oguntola, an editor at The Nation Newspaper, who also is UCJ UI’s Editorial Adviser.
