The Literary and Debating Society (TLDS), University of Ibadan, has called for donations for the 2021 edition of the Jaw War public speaking event which is set to begin on the 29th of September.
According to the statement signed by the president of TLDS UI, Ayẹni Òtítọ́-Jésù Joshua, which was released on September 1, the Jaw War competition has grown in intensity and quality with each year, from hosting 500 people about five years ago to hosting over 5000 people and 100 speakers, and for the first time, the competition will be going national hence the need for donations from the public to hold a bigger and better Jaw War for the year 2021.
The Literary and Debating Society also revealed ₦6,000,000 as the sum of donations they have set as their goal and November 15 as the date they hope to achieve this goal.
