SPECIAL RELEASE

DISCLAIMER OF TEMMY GISTA AS A CAMPUS JOURNALIST

The Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) wishes to inform the whole University Community and the general public that Mr. Temitope Gideon Awolusi a.k.a Temmy Gista, a purported 200l student of the Department of European Studies is NOT in any way a member of the Union.

It is pertinent to inform the general public of this stance of the Union due to the wrongly held opinions in some quarters that Mr Awolusi popularly called Temmy Gista is a member of the Union. He was inducted into Tedder and European Studies Students’ Press Organisations in his early days in the University but has since lost his membership of the aforementioned Organisations due to his lack of commitment and most especially, unprofessional attitudes.

It will be recalled that Temmy Gista, even during the period that he was not a student of the University, was still serving as a lead campaigner to some aspirants at the Students’ Union level.
Also, this is a job he has so far attached himself to on his return as a bona fide student in the current session. In as much as the Union is not against anyone’s wish (es), she will go to any length to rebuff repulsive attributes from uncouth individuals that are capable of tarnishing her image.

It is very essential to state that the Union is not ignorant of Temmy Gista’s publications on the social media bearing “a campus journalist and reporter”. His journalistic inclinations to the best of our knowledge can be best be described to be individualistic and without any vetting authority, thus making his releases unreliable, partisan, and negligible.

This becomes necessary owing to the fact that we have to purge our Union of every unprofessional and repulsive behaviour. Therefore, anyone who transacts business with Temmy Gista in the name of the Union of Campus journalists (UCJ) does so at their own peril.
