UI MANAGEMENT GIVES STUDENTS TWO HOURS ULTIMATUM TO VACATE SCHOOL

The Management of the University of Ibadan has, today Tuesday, 26th April, 2016 at 2:00pm given the students of the University a two-hour ultimatum to vacate the school premises.

This occurred in the wake of students’ unrest championed occasioned by the agitation of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) as a result of a semester rustication given Ekpeti Tunji Michael AKA Note, a 500 level student of the Department of Petroleum Engineering.

It must be noted that Mote was suspended for participating in a protest over non availability of water and power embarked upon by the residents of Independence Hall.

NANS has succeeded in stalling academic activities in the University for the past two days.

Reacting to the development, the university management has ordered the students of the University to vacate the school premises.

Reacting further, the Registrar has made a special release telling the students that the consequence of not vacating the hall is outright expulsion from the university
