The University Health Service (UHS) has announced a compulsory health training tagged “Basic/Refresher Course” for all commercial food vendors within the campus. This training is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 28th of January, 2026 by 9am. The venue for the program will be communicated in due course.
The memo came with a firm warning from the university management informing the food handlers that failure to attend the workshop or refresher course will be treated as a grave offence, with penalties that may include ejection from the university.
“This notice and subsequent reminders through all stakeholders is to ensure attendance and compliance of all food vendors within the various jurisdictions,” the memorandum rea, calling for the cooperation of relevant authorities and stakeholders across campus.
The directive was signed by Dr Aderonke B. Ajayi, Director of the University Health Service, and circulated to key university offices, student leaders, hall management, unions, health officers, and community representatives.
