Sugar lumps; the new key to ecstatic sex?

By Blessing Opeyemi

From the viral stories and usage of Kayanmata from the northern Nigerian to other herbs and solutions used in increasing libido, heightening sexual pleasure, improving sexual faithfulness, rocking the sex market, it is evident that reaching ecstasy is almost if not everyone’s sexual goal and humans sometimes go out of their conventional ways to achieve this. Sexual intimacy is a proven way of improving connection and commitment between unmarried or married partners. As humans, sex is an important part of our lives and the reproductive system as we age, ages with time. Physical activities, stress, little or excess exercise, alcohol and drug use decreases libido in men and in women alike. In woman basically, the estrogen is the sexual hormone responsible for making the vagina healthy and lubricated. However, low estrogen can cause dryness. Other causes include pre menopause symptoms, stress, drug use, childbirth and lactating, some medications or diseases.

The woman’s reproductive system undergoes a lot of changes during pregnancy, child birth and as she ages. The virginal elasticity is affected by age and childbirth and just like a rubber band, the vagina can snap back to its size (even after childbirth, with the right exercises). However, if a woman is not aroused or sexually prepared for sexual intimacy, the reproductive system might be dry and not as tight as it should be. It can however be tightened with surgery, exercise, diets or herbs and this is where aphrodisiacs come in. Contrary to mythical beliefs, little or lots of sex does not affect virginal elasticity.
