By: Obilowo Abdulqudus

The Editor-In-Chief of NUESA Press Organization and a member of the Editorial Board of the Union Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, Mr. Olawale Olaogun, is set to launch his first book on April 15, 2023.

The book, which is a collection of poems, is titled “The Way Of The Wind.”

Introducing the poetry chapbook to the public, Mr. Olaogun wrote, “In every human life, the encounter of disorderliness, chaos, death, memories, and grief is unavoidable. Wale’s chapbook draws a reader’s attention to many sophisticated questions, questions of why, how and to what degree the human animal is a product of several circumstances.”

The book which Afrihill Press publishes will be officially launched and released on the 15th of April, 2023.

Mr. Olaogun spoke with UCJ UI about his motivation for publishing the book and what the public should expect.

He said, “Actually, the book was really a miracle to me because I never knew it would happen this soon. I initially planned to publish a chapbook last year, but there was no time, I mean the burden of schooling. This year, I just felt the need to do it before I leave the University of Ibadan campus, and then we have “The Way of the Wind.”

“Well, most poems in the collection are political. They are a voice which speaks about the retrogressive African environment, emigration, racism, and among other social issues,” he added.
