The Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan, has inaugurated a new set of executives to lead the union in the 2025/2026 academic session.
These new executive members who make up the 38th administration of the union were sworn in during the union’s handover/award ceremony, which was held at the Music Concert Hall.
This ceremony, which marked the end of the union’s 37th administration, was filled with many other activities, including the presentation of awards to outstanding Campus Journalists and Local Press Organisations.
The new administration is headed by Adebumowa Jesutomiwo, a 400L student of the Faculty of Law.
The president, in her remarks, said, “I feel elated and honoured to be sworn in as the 38th UCJ President, and I’m grateful for how this journey has started. I would like to thank the past president, Olanshile Ogunrinu, for his support so far. I would like to congratulate all awardees and encourage all campus journalists to put in more effort than we did last year. I’m very sure that by God’s grace, the UCJ will continue to grow and the standards, both editorial and administrative, in the UCJ will be raised higher”.
The new 38th administration consists of the following members:

- Vice President (Administration): Ayolajesu Victoria Ojo
- General Secretary: Olajide Tikristi Joshua
- Assistant General Secretary.: Akinbobola Oluwaferanmi
- Public Relations Officer I: Williams Aanuoluwa
- Public Relations Officer II: Aderibigbe Ifejesu.
- Financial Secretary: Ogbuta Blessing Chinaza
