Three students from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan emerged top winners of the Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) competition today.
This year, the 14th edition of the competition had the participation of over thirty-four (34) candidates from fourteen (14) Universities. At the awards presentation which took place today via zoom, 22nd May, 2021, the three ACLASites were announced winners of the competition as well as their listed prizes.
Niniola Olobayo– 6.83 points- Third place (50 dollars worth of books)
Theodore Ogedegbe– 6.83 points– Second place (100 dollars worth of books)
Goodnesss Okusaya- 6.92 points- Winner of the FCLA Competition (200 dollars worth of books and representing at Cannes Lion Festival).
The Lecturer, Dr. Bisi Olawuyi, who led the students was awarded Lecturer of the Year, and the University of Ibadan was recognised as the School of the Year.
Mrs Temitope, who announced the winners specifically said that the top three (3) winners coming from the same university has never happened before. The Executive Council and other students of the department have congratulated all the winners.
The Future Creative Leaders Academy (FCLA) is a youth Programme of the Pitcher Festival of Creativity designed for students in tertiary institutions. It provides a platform for intensive learning, discovering talents, as well as inspiring and immersing hopeful professionals into the world of advertising and marketing communications. The programme also provides platform for selecting participants for the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy of the Cannes Lions Festival.
