A SECOND COUNTS
Struck by the thunderous noise,
Everyone; running helter-skelter,
With no idea of exactly the nearest shelter,
And possibly could have by-passed one; amidst the unstable situation;
If only, he murmured,
Another; questionedâonly what?
âŠâŠ If I had waited behind, just an empty house would have been thundered,
About the axes of many; many heads did turn;
In corresponding sympathy; their faces asked;
Your sister? Your brother? Your mother? Your father? Who?
After 2 minutes âbody arrestâ; he replied, âyes my whole familyâ all gone;
Simply because I chose not to agree to be free!!
Tensioned sitting room; with wriggly tails from our scared pets;
I didnât give a damn; my parents, sibling; all âWORDINGâ me out;
They knew Him, (sobbing) they just wanted me to also feel peace even in the midst of doubt;
But I was too much of a fart to allow some fragrance,
The heated house diverted our attention from the actual âheat from the houseâ
And I; like a fool walked out and banged the door behind me
Leaving my family with fireâs pressure locking all openings,
Before I could think twice; it was BOOM!!
As shocked as a frightened new b
orn; so was I,
It wasnât a successful evangelism with me;
But I think I recall the part of the âpillar of saltâ and I wish I was the âmodern versionâ of that monument instead of my faithful household in the torture of flames and eventual ashes;
Now I know, a second of calmness could have done it and in peace would we have livedâŠâŠ.
I WISHâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠâŠ.
