The draws for the 2014/2015 AFAS Dean’s cup held on 12th June 2015 at the faculty office. The draw was headed by the AFAS Sport Director, Mr Segun Martins, alongside nine Departmental Sport Directors. The AFAS Dean’s Cup draw for male category includes;

| 4 | C.L.A | MUSIC | EUROPEAN STUDIES |
THE FEMALE CATEGORY INCLUDES;
THEATRE ARTS VS ENGLISH ANTH&ARCH
PHILOSOPHY VS CLASSICS C.L.A VS HISTORY
MUSIC VS RELIGIOUS STUDIES EUROPEAN VS LINGUISTIC
The Sport Director of the Department of Philosophy, Olise Anselm, commented on the draws, he said “The draws are fair enough, looking at the teams we will face and looking at our players and coach. I think we can still retain our cup, because the chances of reaching the final are high. The female draw is fair because it’s a knockout thing and I hope we pass our last stage, which was the semi-final”
About preparations, he said, “The only challenge on ground is getting the female to take part, because it will be hectic for them and you know, it seems they all have phobia for football. The male team is really a team squad and I think the only problem is selection of players. We need to pick eighteen players out of thirty quality players”.
A vote was also cast and it was passed that this year’s Dean’s cup won’t involve the Faculty of Science players who play for Anthropology and Archaeology. However, this competition will feature The Music Department for the first time. The competition’s prize money is yet to be stated.
